The MANKATO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA is passionate about youth and community education, recognizing the transformative power of music in enriching lives and fostering lifelong learning. Through dynamic outreach programs, school partnerships, and engaging performances tailored for young audiences, the orchestra works to inspire the next generation of musicians and music lovers. By bringing music into classrooms and community spaces, the Mankato Symphony fosters accessibility, creativity, and cultural awareness, ensuring that people of all ages can experience the joy and educational value of live orchestral music.

Pre-Concert Conversations
Directors and special guests engage the audience and one another in frequent pre-concert conversations, providing a deeper and more intimate perspective on both the music as well as the people who bring the music to life.

School Visits
Music Director Ernesto Estigarribia Mussi regularly meets with music students at local middle and high schools to build personal connections and to offer insight on their musical projects.

See Hear Play: Music, Mankato Symphony Orchestra's Free Family Series, is a special program for young listeners to discover and learn about the history, purpose, and joy of classical music. These short performances feature actors, storytelling, and musical activities that can be enjoyed by all.
